Meet Our Staff

Jeanie - Office Manager

Jeanie grew up in rural Pennsylvania, as one of eight kids. She has had a career in dentistry for over 40 years. Jeanie moved to Fuquay Varina 10 years ago, and has greatly enjoyed the area!

She initially gained employment with Dr. Pezdek, the previous Owner and mentor to Dr. Wayand. When Dr. Wayand transitioned to Owner, Jeanie was happy to continue on as she always has done; providing exceptional care and management of our dental family.

Jeanie enjoys the connections she has made with our patients over the years, and can always be counted on for a good laugh! In her spare time she enjoys exercising, a good glass of wine on the front porch, and hanging out with family and friends. She enjoys the simple joys that life is always offering.

Kris - Dental Assistant II

Kris is a Dental assistant II and has been in the dental field for over 20 years. She was office trained as a dental assistant right out of high school and worked as such until she moved to South Carolina to marry and became a stay at home Mom. After her children finished high school Kris decided to go back to dental assisting and enrolled in Dental Assisting school. There she graduated top of her class and gained employment before graduation and has been in the dental world ever since.

Kris was born and raised in Euclid, Ohio and is the youngest of 6 children. She has resided in North Carolina with her husband Tom since 2011. Together they have a blended family of 5 children and 5 grandchildren.

In her free time Kris enjoys reading, cooking and baking (at which Doctor Wayand can personally attest she is excellent). She enjoys walking and playing with her 3 furbabies, Leo, Bailey, and Wyatt, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Wayand and Kris have worked together for the past couple of years and she feels very blessed to be a part of Magnolia Way Dentistry and her amazing team.

Laura - Hygienist

Laura grew up in Forest City, Pennsylvania. She moved to the Holly Springs area over 24 years ago. Here she enjoys raising her two wonderful children, along with her husband Ty, and their mini golden doodle, Rex. Laura has been in the dental world for over 30 years now. Initially she was introduced to dentistry by being a dental assistant. After spending time in Dental offices and learning the ins and outs of dental care, she realized she was called to journey further into patient care. She went on to graduate from Wake Technical College School of Dental Hygiene, and has spent the last 20 years providing excellent and thorough care to her valued patients.

During her free time, Laura enjoys spending time down at the beach in Beaufort. Here she loves to walk the beach, go fishing and of course, shopping! Laura equally loves a good workout session and prioritizes her health and fitness. As always, Laura is the go-to person for our patients when they have hygiene needs and is happiest providing her adept knowledge to ensure each patient has the best possible oral health.
